For as long as I can remember I have always loved Carousel horses . Still collect carousel horse music boxes today . I have some fond memories of my Father and I riding every carousel we saw over and over again . My Mother and Brothers were good for one or two rides but no more than that . Light weights in carousel riding I suppose . I never see a Carousel that I don't think of the endless rides my Father and I enjoyed together . Dan and I recently came across this Carousel .... oh YES we rode !

Marsha, this is wonderful, brings back memories for me as well, I always headed for the horse! Have you ever been to the House on The Rock in Wisconsin? They have a huge working carousel, and lots of horses on display. Tigs♥ =^..^=

The horse looks very pretty Marsha - definitely looks inviting. It is much more "soothing" to ride on the carousel to soft music than to ride the modern heart stopping roller coaster!

It is lovely to have fond memories and collections!

If you love carousels...then you will adore this one at my local museum in Beamish!....It is a Victorian 1863 'steam powered' one

This is a very touching story Marsha. Your photo of this carousel is very nice indeed, this looks so clean and well cared for I thought it was an exhibit or a museum piece not one that was still in use. You have a great post and a real fine image here.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Who doesn't love a carousel, Jen-Nay. Kids still love them today.
Even old kids like us.
