Well, you're right about the title! It looks like it should have picked a bigger flower to land on too. Still, though, it's a neat picture all the same.

I must agree with Quiet....the flower is a bit to small for this one.
Looks a bit like wood doves land.
Its a bit of a pitty this shot isn't totaly sharp...but its still worth posting.

I like this shot as it is. It can be really difficult to get an image of insects since they move so fast. You did a great job.

Hallo Eric, There is nothing ugly at all about this fly in my opinion. The contrast between his black body and the warm yellow of the flowers is amazing. This will make a beautiful wallpaper. Overall I would think a definite ten.
