My friend and neighbor Peter (DigitalFX) is about to have his second major book on digital manipulation published, so I took some snaps of him last weekend for the back cover. This image is just one of about 50. Please let me know your thoughts!

Well first, where’s the horse darn it. I don't like this one Tracy. There is too much glare in the eyes. It makes Peter look Vacant and to distant. It does not bring out his strong feature and his personality.

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

I would prefer a scene in the country or something more relaxed. How about some boots and spurs or a lasso? It's a nice honor to have been selected to do the photography. You are the man for the job!

I like it. The lighting in particular; his face is at once seasoned and gentle looking. There is a bit of reflection in the eyes when it would have been more soulful to have just eye color, but that's the only change I'd make. The hat adds a nice richness. cheers, Quiet

DENNIS HOPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, he does remind me of Dennis Hopper, who just happens to be one of my very fave actors!
Sorry: had too much caffeine}
Addressing now your work: NICE! You caught a pensive, edginess in his look/expression, as if being on the opposite side of a lens makes him uncomfortable. Like the photo...very much!

PS: NOT a complaint: I love the shot...but looked again, and just thought...it you could make the background a bit more subtle...less distracting..he would pop out more...coz his expression is priceless!

Peter is very photogenic at your hand Tracy. I find it a bit bright and there appears to be a halo around him. I like the pose reminds me of my favourite beverage. Nice work overall Tracy:-)

Tracy great pose but I am not too crazy about the image...he has wonderful brown eyes that are not showing up well due to the light reflection and the hat brim is a bit messy. Please know that I do not mean to offend, just my opinion. ;)

My thoughts? That is not the Marlboro Man, I have seen him, in fact many many years ago I smoked his cigarettes. That's not him. I like the shot but there is some glare on his left eye, it makes it look like a glass eye........I hope it's not.

I really like this picture! Maybe find and old rocking chair on a porch for him to sit in? And get the full color of his eyes. Otherwise it's very good!

I don't like it...looks too posed. Does he really wear that hat in public? But, I have to tell ya, he is one handsome old cowboy. <grin>

I have to say Peter is one of the most handsome men around, but I too am a bit bothered by the eyes...he just isnt relaxed enough..would love to see his hands near his hat or face...I adore the other photo I've seen of him...I've kept it for posterity for sure. What an intrigueing face...but well, how about one of him being a bit pensive and with his chin resting on his hand? Hands often tell more about a person than even their expressions.If I remember right he had his hand next to his face on the other pic, and his hair was long, is it cut now? or in a ponytail? More more more...post a few more ok? hehe..(ps. I wonder why people think you are a man? you are a most lovely and talented photographer lady)
