I don't have a clue what kind of flower or plant this is, but it was all over the place and I had to stop and photograph it.

This is an excellent photo, I like it a lot :) I'm really getting into these macro type shots and this is a great example!!!!

As a suggestion, some post processing on the colours and balance might be nice to enhance the blue of the flowers, maybe making it a bit more vivid etc.

Hi Mark,
These are called Virginia Bluebells (mertensia virginica). We saw a lot of these when we lived in Fairfax County and even had some in our garden. Your lovely photo brings back fond memories of those times. I think it is especially interesting that the unopened buds are pink while the blossoms are blue when they open.
By the way, thank you for taking a look at my "Sanctuary..." -- I am glad you liked it.
