Moliceiro is a Portugal's ship that circulate in the Ria de Aveiro lagoon area of the Rio Vouga. This vessel was originally used for harvesting the seaweed, but now commonly used for tourism purposes. Among the typical boats, the Moliceiro is considered the most elegant, colorful decor, although humorous, is a work boat for harvesting the seaweed, which was the main source of composting on farmland of Aveiro. Boats are low edge to facilitate the loading of the seaweed. The moliceiros have a bow and a stern very elegant which are usually decorated with paintings which ridicule everyday situations. The tow is a cable that is used in the passage of narrow channels or along the banks, when sailing against the current or against the wind. It is constructed of pine wood.
