A gorgeous image John. You really are the King of fog...may not sound glamorous but it is meant as a big compliment. I love the lighting, detail and the amazing sharpness of this image. It is a wow shot. Great work.
Oh, I'm up early (for me) with this one...just the crackle of dawn before the Thanksgiving melee breaks...what a great post. Your mist shots have been giving me quite the needed lift. Super job...Have a Great Day, and I'm saving some pie for ya!!
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
John, I'm running out of adjectives to describe your beautiful, stunning, wonderful, thought provoking, photo's. This one is stupendous. I think you chose the absolute perfect angle to get all the beautiful things for the eye to feast upon this Thanksgiving day. Great. Happy Turkey Day to you also.
There aren't enough adjectives. This is another wonderful one. You're getting adept at obscuring the sun just enough, but using the fog to pick up its light. Lovely atmosphere, colours and quality.
Happy Thanksgiving to you John! I have been amazed at your photographs lately - you have improved so much in such a short time! This is excellent, it went straight into my favourites even before I left a common! Wonderful light and a magical/mystical feel with the fog lying across the lake!

This is just too lovely for words, John! Wonderful perspective and wonderful elements included in the shot. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

A delightful image! The sun and fog give off a surreal feeling. Such richness in autumn colours and wonderful lighting. I especially like the foliage in the foreground, and gotta love that fog! Wonderful work! :)
Love the colour, light, mist and those plants in the foreground.
