Not being up on history, the title has me stumped. But the picture is fantastic. I love what you are doing with the Orton Effect. I still haven't tried it, but soon...soon. The lighting and the colors in this are gorgeous, John.
Judging from the foliage and knowing Gregory, I would say this was taken in October. You have taken very nicely to the Orton. You should send Sir Nigel a Christmas present along with all of us.
What a masterpiece! An exquisite painting if I ever saw one John! You should have explained the title..lol..A little ignorant on this side for me..hehe

Gregory XIII was a pope, but the 10th part eludes me. The Autumn woods look wonderfully inviting and take well to Orton's. I really like that technique and it's results and this is perfect.
Fav'd instantly and also set as my DT background. This is gorgous and I am loving this series of your Orton works and your trees. Keep them coming! Thanks for sharing!

well you got everyone wondering with your title John! lol! ...at first I thought it might be where the Greg Norman's ball ended up lol! ....then I looked at the hisotry of Gregory xiii and wondered if it was something to do with the Gregorian calendar, then I wondered if you had a dog called Gregory xiii! lol! I am still none the wiser, but I do like the image a lot - I love what you did with it - very dreamy and artistic.
