Aglaeca is a description from Beowulf, meaning both “demon, monster, fiend,”and “hero, warrior.” An Old English dictionary defines Aglaeca as follows, “wretch, miscreant, monster, demon, fierce enemy, fierce combatant, miserable being.”

I don't know about all the things you wrote in your narrative, but I see an ancient warrior in full battle armor, ready to go into action. If this means I am crazy or something, I will deny ever making this comment. LOL.

To me it is a ship (vessel) sailing through hell itself. There seems to be fire and brimstone all around the chaotic scene. It must be loaded with some new arrivals.

it does look Mayan, or maybe Aztec... there's so much blood red in the image, really kind of explodes right off the screen with violence... A fearsome bogyman brandishing a sword in both hands, he probably comes directly from the depths of our own worst fears...

okay, im definitely wrong here, but i do see a warrior right side up and i turned your image upside down and your image became the demon.. i also saw an angry little face in the middle right side looking to the left (when upside down) but im fabricating all this
