Quotes which have nothing to do with this picture from Douglas Adams
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
He felt that his whole life was some kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
In order to fly, all one must do is simply miss the ground.

My house was robbed last night. Everything was taken and replaced with exact replicas. LOL. (Just thought I'd throw that in there for fun.) Great shot, John. Super colors and clarity. Very nice.

Color tones are really good Shads. I like the feet-like roots on the tree. It looks like a place that would host a mosquito convention in late summer. Cold weather does have its perks.

I particularly like how you have caught that tree on the right with its roots showing and the pleasing view of the water to the side. Good composition and colour. Well done!

I like the dof in this John, the tree is super sharp with the rest of the image slightly blurred. Douglas Adams was a genius wasn't he? My own favourite quote is "man had always assumed he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much...while all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed they were far more intelligent than man - for precisely the same reason."
