Gliese-887, The Washington Post

Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.
Andre Gide

There is not a discovery in science, however revolutionary, however sparkling with insight that does not arise out of what went before. “If I have seen further than other men,” said Isaac Newton, “it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants.”
Isaac Asimov, Adding a Dimension: Seventeen Essays on the History of Science

“You know,” said Arthur, “it's at times like this, when I'm trapped in a Vogon airlock with a man from Betelgeuse, and about to die of asphyxiation in deep space that I really wish I'd listened to what my mother told me when I was young.”
“Why, what did she tell you?”
“I don't know, I didn't listen.”
Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Had to laugh at Douglas Adams, John. Great quote.
It's like finding out where you are going when you get there.
Foreboding creation that makes me wonder if I'm out during the eclipse.
Beautiful work and of course the music is exceptional.
