Very few beings really seek knowledge in this world. Mortal or immortal, few really ask. On the contrary, they try to wring from the unknown the answers they have already shaped in their own minds ‐ justifications, confirmations, forms of consolation without which they can't go on. To really ask is to open the door to the whirlwind. The answer may annihilate the question and the questioner.
Anne Rice, The Vampire Lestat

The voice in her head told her not to trust him. But then, the voice in her head didn't trust anyone.
C.J. Daugherty, Night School

My instincts told me that death would somehow be…different. But my rational mind reminded me that I had probably tempted fate one too many times. At least, I thought it was my rational mind. It sure seemed like the usual voice inside my head. Thank God there was only one of them.
M.A. George, Relativity

The voices inside her head had awakened from their peace as they hissed in whisper through her ears. They slithered inside Sophia's mind and through her thoughts, entrancing her under a spell of anxiety, spilling all of her worries that she had stored away.
Arti Manani, The Colours of Denial

There is one purpose to life and one only: to bear witness to and understand as much as possible of the complexity of the world‐its beauty, its mysteries, its riddles.
Anne Rice, Servant of the Bones

Bran, OMNIA

ON THE NATURE OF DAYLIGHT, Evgeny Genchev

Numb (Linkin Park), LUKA ft. EVGENY

John, although I have some difficulty interpreting your title correctly, your render, once again is a very nice, and an open book to me.
Your post is again interspersed with well-selected quotes and music links. The former are thought provoking while the latter are a delight to the ear.

Anyway, your post is another gem.

If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins! Please CLICK HERE to see my journal! Feel free to save my images or to add them to your favorites.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Well, my own head of lettuce is chuckling over your choice of title, John. I mean, if one cannot laugh at oneself, what is the point of humor? ;oP
