Osiris Myth, Wikipedia

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
           For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeoning of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

John, the Osiris myth leads us to believe that Isis was able to restore the body of her husband Osiris - who was murdered by his brother Set in order to take over - so that Osiris could posthumously father their son Horus with the goal to restore the cosmic and social order in Egypt after the unjust reign of Set, and with it it completed the process of Osiris' resurrection.

A mythology can change over time and grow with changing circumstances. This isn't about the veracity of a mythology however, but about the properly understanding of people and their culture. Therefore mythology has been studied from various approaches since classical antiquity.

Your post contributes to this in an entertaining and enjoyable way. Very well done (again)!

I wonder is that Seth or Horus in the middle ? Isis & Osiris and Seth and the other sister were a strange lot by todays standards. Not to mention Horus.
These are the colours I associate with Egypt. In my (weird) mind countries have colours. A splendid image !Thanks also for the fine music

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

John, your talent gives us much to appreciate. The art, the music, the philosophy. I kind of wish you could be duplicated and sent all over the world, especially to the young children. You would make an incredible impact I believe, and our world would be a better place.
