I suppose it is simple. It is a good attempt, but you might want to try getting it in different lighting or background where it's edges are better defined. You also might want to try a different angle that might show the subject better. No offense, but when I first saw this one, my thought was, "What is this?". I had to spend a few moments trying to figure it out until I came to the tentative decision that it was a weight of some kind. Caiden, good observations there, I appreciate the tips you gave.
This was a bit of an experiment on my side - the object itself is very simple, so I attempted to make it a bit more exciting by unusual viewing angle/hiding part of it.
