We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
I like this geometric thing you have going on in these two posts. I don't think this one works too well but it doesn't matter, feels like you're reaching towards something and I think you should keep going.
It's called driving in rush hour traffic and trying to shoot a picture of something I've never seen before. I was on my way to PA, made a wrong turn and got lost in the Bronx. 3 hours to go 55 miles. I have a huge red sox tire cover on my CRV and was driving 2mph in front of Yankee Stadium waiting for the bullets to fly!
A very worthy attempt Cindy. Sometimes we just have to go with what we have to work with. Shooting from a moving car is of course very problematic. I suppose next time you could try shooting several quick shots and then cut and paste the pieces to get rid of the bridge struts, and the cars if you want to. Depends how bad you want the shot, because it would be a lot of work. Glad you made it past Yankee Stadium in one piece, though!
What you've captured here is a memory. I've crossed the GW hundreds of times in route from one parent's home in PA to another's on Lawn Guyland. There's not a kiddo in this world who hasn't crossed that bridge and stared at the NY skyline with awe & wonder. As adults, we see blurs and light vs. dark and railings. The kid in me is straining in my seat belt to peer over the edge of the bridge to peek at the the skyline! Thanks for the memory! :)
