a kind of daisy- it's actually on the edge of a table with the light gray being on the wall behind it.

Love the flower, what an unusual colour, and the grey two-tone background is great. I like the line across the centre of the frame although I wonder if it might have been a bit more effective if it split it into thirds rather than half. I also find the lighting slightly distracting, but overall it's an unusual take on an unusual flower and I think it works.

I like the 50/50 split, actually. Focus could've been a little sharper (on the petals), especially on such a boldly composed piece such as this.

Also seems to be a bit smudgy on the table surface. Was noise reduction used? With a few minor touches, this could've been even better than it already is. Nice post overall.

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

Creative! I like the fact that you took a simple technique and created a sophisticated image.

People often say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves. -Salma Hayek
