Saw this interesting insect at Plants Delight Nursery here in NC. I had been intending to photograph the oxblood lillies in the background, but was intrigued by this little critter.

I like the way you've focused on the star of the picture - the little critter enjoying his lunch! Nice shot with great clarity on the insect and nice colours.

I like the color balance throughout the pic...the red lilies make a lovely interior frame for your little bug (whatever he is), and they reach down to embrace the white and pink flowers as well. The lack of focus on the flowers really does bother me when considering the pic's as a desktop background. It's nice to drill right in to the bug, but when the picture as a whole is on the desk, what engages the eye are the red flowers, which are not blurred enough for "art" and too blurred for these poor eyes!
