This gigantic spider (about 5 inches from tip to tip) was just chillin as we walked by in Livingston, Guatemala on our way to the famous waterfalls and limestone pools there. I was unsure whether this was one of those jumping spiders or not so this is as close as I could get. Enjoy!!!

Man...that sucker is huge. I would hate to see that thing crawling around in the house. Great shot.

Thanks Jim! Yeah you should have saw the girls reaction as I pointed it out to them. Luckily, I didn't have to go in for busted ear drums. I'm pretty sure its a species of water spider as you notice the long limbs and the way the ends tip up perfect for floating on top of the water. This thing probably attacks minnows.

A good close-up of the spider. Nice details on your eight-legged friend and nice textures in the background rock. Thanks for sharing.

Good close-up of this species. She nicely camouflaged.

Yeah i.e. the girl screaming as she almost stepped on it because it was so well camouflaged. It was quite the spider. The eyes are so big that it actually reflected my flash from my camera!
