This photograph was taken on the ground (asphalt) looking up at the thistles from the street curve at the evening sky in a nearby neighborhood. I just love the little debris spiraling down the stem (a detail I didn't notice till post processing).

It looks good as silhouettes, Chris. I am glad no one ran over you when taking the photo.

A good b/W image taken against the bright sky.

Thanks guys! Yea Rob thankfully its not the most busy street in town. Its funny because I had a girl walk past me later taking a photo of a beautiful purple flower and she says "Beautiful flower." I wonder what her response would have been if she saw me taking this one. haha

A good DoF and b/w presentation of the scene. Nice contrasts in the photo and a good angle in the capture.

Thanks Cynlee and Wendell! It was fun photographing this one and challenging. Very little black and white conversion needed due to the drastic contrast in the original photo. This one pretty much worked on its own after I got the capture.
