Wow, this is very pretty indeed. The soft fading tones of purple are very easy to the eye. However, I would have avoided softening the edges so much, still, it's a great piece. Very nice work.

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink. . . . drink in the moments that take your breath away. . . . . -Hitch

Nice experimentaion with colors and filters. I'm not real fond of the blurring. May I suggest that you crop it to just around the section of flowers on the lower right 2/3 of the image. The negative space draw the eye away from the subject. I've glanced throught your gallery and you have some very fine images there. I'll try to take a closer look when I get the time. Good job.

I like the fade to black, it adds a darkside to a soft pic.

Hey, that's good to see you experimenting in monochrome!
And the blurring doesn't hurt at all, you see what you show here is all that the human perception needs to store this image in the grey matter upstairs. You have eliminated all the details and limited the image to the heart of the matter. That's exactly why I like b&w photo's so much.
Great to see this and I hope you will continue to post more images in monochrome. You have my support!

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...
