Very simple and good. You might have gone with more depth of field but that is really an artistic choice. In truth, the eye can only focus on a very small area at one time and everything else is out of focus, so this shot is more realistic in this sense. More important than all that, pine cones make me happy!

What he said. All joking aside, Cindy, I have to say I really like this series of yours. It's pretty, & simple. & the rustic beauty of your subjects really appeal to me.

Very pretty colours...I like the sharpness of the one cone, but kind of wish that both of them could be as sharp...cones are interesting for sure..there is a huge variety....thanx for the shot.

Nice to see these close ups of nature. It's beautifull.
There is only one suggestion I have, and it may sound strange but here it comes: next time you use a flash, try to make an extra shot with the camera upside down. The shadows and the reflection on the cone could come out better and more natural...maybe you want to try and see the result.
Good luck with your fine series, Paul

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...
