This is the sun setting behind the chapel at Mission San Jose here in San Antonio. I had gone to the Mission but, much to my dismay, they were closed. I took some shots regardless just to annoy the guard who was trying to shoo me off. Who did he think he was? The shutter bug police? Lol. It's kinda dark but I like it. I find it to be sort of inspirational, like all my friends here on Caedes who inspire me with such beautiful work. I really love being part of this wonderful community, so this is dedicated to all of you! Enjoy. Comments welcome.

you've done a wonderful job of contrasting that deep blue sky with the dark silhouette of the dome of the church..well done

I saw a peanut stand, heard a rubber band, I saw a needle that winked its eye. But I think I will have seen everything When I see an elephant fly. MY GALLERY

Simply elegant. Sometimes, heck, most of the time, less is more. I love the symmetry and the glow. I also like that one side dips more than the other. And furthermore if I may run on, I like that the glow is off center. What's not to like.

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. Henry D. Thoreau

Great shot Jessica. If the sun had just cooperated and fallen directly behind the building it would have been perfect. You get back there and tell the sun to do it right, ya here? LOL. It's a gorgeous image and that sky color is incredible. anne :-)

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)

I do like the church and cross silhouetted like this. The glow and gradations of blue really draw your eyes to the cross which is more intricate and delicate than the shadowed
mission building itself. This is inspirational by the placement of the cross and the haloed light. Maybe it is well that the mission was closed. You might not have gotten this wonderful shot instead.
