you have composed the pic well but the too bright sky make your attemt less attractive. If you used a polaroid filter and enhanced the colors using photshop it would have beeing awesome. Try doing some brightness/contranst adjusments and enhancing the colors for the moment. You have the eye and now all u need is a second chanse.

Hi Chris! I like the composition that you have in this image. Everything appears rather flat and dull though. You have described a field of goldenrod, yet it is a bit difficult to see that the surrounding plants are gold! If you have any image editing program on your PC, you can do some tweaking with the colors and make this shot very interesting. You can try to increase your saturation or even 'auto enhance' and see what happens. I think you have a good eye for the camera, so keep shooting & show us your stuff! Thanks for posting :~)

the composition is truly good, but the everexposure does not only make the sky completely invisible, but it also makes all the colors very dull. try retaking the shot and play first with the exposure and saturation settings in your camera and it may turn out to be a pretty good shot. good luck!
