An artist friend of mine who lives in the Pacific Northwest has a one room cabin/studio in the woods where she paints. Just outside is this handmade bench of driftwood gathered from around Puget Sound. Yes, one can sit on it!

How charming in both texture and design...different from the usual bench one might see and it looks great nestled in the greenery...glad I got here before a 'certain' benchwarmer known affectionately as Owd Bob, hehe...lovely shot and thanks for sharing.:Pat.

Love the various textures present in this image of yours.

Talk about a soothing visual salve for this viewer.

This makes for a great desktop in my eyes. Lush colour palette, wonderfully composed and balanced ... very nice.

The only thing that would make this one that much better ... a revisit when some of the immature blooms that I can see here, have fully opened. Might add some pops of colour. Not a suggestion ... not a critique ... a request, simply for more of this tranquil setting.

p.s. Excellent shot of your friends' craftmanship and art as well.

I agree that some blooms would add to it. Therefor I am asking viewers to supply me with the funds to RETURN to the same place and spend some time there waiting for the blooms. Aw, come on, just a dollar or two from each viewer, no more than a lottery ticket and, better than the lottery, a win is guaranteed...for me!

Actually, this was taken in August which is, according to my friend, the best month of the year in Washington state. She says people fall in love with the place based on a visit in August and then move there to discover that other times of the year it is rain-rain and then more rain.
