Everybody for miles away used to come here to get their supplies. I wonder how many old country stores you could fit in the new modern buy everything in one place stores.
I see so many of these abandoned country stores too Dado. It always makes me sad when I do. For so many years they were probably the "hub " of the neighborhood. Great capture here, the B&W works really well.
It's funny you should bring this up, because we have a lot of "general stores" in the area in an attempt, I think to recreate the past, but in thinking on it, aren't the modern "buy everything in one place" stores just mirrors of the past? Nicely photographed .
"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso
Sorry that I haven't been commenting more. Just got lazy? But I did look at most of them. And again, thanks to all of you for your comments on mine.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
