Appologies to Pixleslie for stealing her idea but I so much admire the images she has recently posted I thought I would have a go. It is not easy, and now I have tried I know. To bring out the subtle structure of the petals is difficult without making them look like a building site and to give a flower devoid of its colour that magical appearance she gets is elusive. So here is my offering to the genre (if that is what it is). In fairness, I have posted B&W flower pictures before, here is an example but I never quite got it right. I am not sure I have even now, so comments most welcome.

A very interesting take on the BW flowers. Not to sure about the light and shadow play. Maybe to much shadow play? But overall, a great photo!

Hmm. I'm liking this. Though I think I like the ghostly shadowy ones on the left better than the intended subject on the right. I'll have to put some thought to this now that you have brought the idea to my attention.

I agree with the previous comment above, there is a bit too much shadow play, but this is a great photo!

Nice...ghostly is the best way to describe it, the only thing I don't like about it is its hard to find a focal point.

MY idea? Ummm... no but I did invent kissing. :^*

You've got great texture here, interesting light, and BOKEH. Well done.
