Reinterpretation or just scraping the barrel? In my current monochromatic mood I felt it was worth looking back through my Belsen images for something suitable to post. Personally I like the lines on this one. As usual, comments and critiques most welcome. (Looks less dark when enlarged.)

There certainly is no absence of angles here ;) What I like most is the way the cross hatched shadows on the left wall play with the vertical lines on the wall - which is angled itself. What I like least is that one pesky little rock on the floor. This is a very odd room. Nice job.

Incredible shot. I love your work. I would have made it my desktop if your giant monogram didn't take away from your what was some of your best work. Maybe something more transparent like a watermark?

I looked back and found the other. It's an incredibly beautiful place but treated this way it's much more dramatic and severe and as hard as it should be. An uncomfortable caged beauty.

Although your post is outstanding, after reading your blog and the history of this place it haunts me still to this day. In my mind this place will never be silent. The suffering and horror that took place here is beyond evil.

It is times like this that I find the c-index system disappointing. Have not the voters seen the same picture as the one I am looking at? What a study in lines and geometry!

The b&w really gives it the feel that should be felt by this place.. cold and the feeling of sadness and evil..

You have captured the room very well, great light and composition, very well done Christopher

Now I'm starting to like black and white pictures with this capture. This is simply awesome. Beautiful and elegant shot.

I like the simplicity, geometry and tonality of this image. I also like the tonality of many of your other images.
