Today I'll start a new series, called 'Lake of Veere'. The Lake of Veere is a 22 kilometres long artificial lagoon in Zeeland, The Netherlands, situtated between the peninsula's of North- and South-Beveland and Walcheren. For further information please, click here. From time to time I like to give you an 'impression' of this lagoon. At this image you see two ancient, reconstructed, small wooden fishing boats, nowadays only used for watersports sailing, sailing at the Lake of Veere in the vicinity of the small town of Veere.

That looks like so much fun and a good way for those boats to spend their retirement rather than working :-)

Love the colors of sails with the wooden boats. You can see a lot of work has gone into restoring these vessels. You did a good job of capturing this. I like how the boats stand out against the water and background. The information given is always appreciated. Very nice.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Prachtige waterfoto. Het rood in het zeil help veel natuurlijk, maar de actie mag er zeker zijn. Het water op de boeglijn zegt genoeg. Een perfect uitgebalanceerde foto Cornelius.
