- EDIT: I posted this image without narrative as I thought that this image would speak for itself. Bruce (Sailorman6309) convinced me, however, that it was better to give any description about the circumstances. He's right, therefore I added a narrative below his comment.

Knappe prestatie, Cornelius!, want dit soort foto's vereist toch wel een snelle reactie op deze actie!

Interesting capture. It makes me wonder how fast you can make the shutter go on a digital camera though, hehe. Looks pretty good here.

Very nice. Did you have to scare them to get them up in the air like that? LOL. It would take me days of sitting and waiting to get a shot like this. Good work, Cornelius.

I don't think I'm sticking my neck out when I say this is great photo. It almost looks like they're landing as opposed to taking off. Just excellent Cornelius. Glad you have returned.

One can hear the voice of the wings. It's really on the move, very dinamic. I like the warm colors, too.

Cornelius, these birds look as if you've touched their tail feathers with a magical paint brush - they almost glow. I really like this presentation. A beautiful post my friend! I hope you're up and about and good as new!

Interesting photo, but is it too much effort to provide a few words identifying the circumstances?

You're right Bruce. I've captured this image at one of the borders of the Lake of Veere (Zeeland, The Netherlands). I was approaching the geese very carefully without making any noise. I was in doubt which shutter time I should use. A very fast shutter time would create a more static image. A longer shutter opening time would create a more dynamic image but also some blur. I decided for the last as it would give an impression of the speed of the geese as well. Think it was a proper choice, the more it was a very dark day (so my shutter time possibilities were already limited). Once I was in the neigboorhood of the geese, they saw me and they all started to fly. I've tried to 'catch' this special moment.

superb capture Cornelius!! A gaggle of geese! You did well to capture them so clearly on a slower shutter speed and not have complete blur of the wings! great job Cornelius and very complimentary framing!
