At this image you see the mediaeval (14th century) Noble Gate. The Nobel gate is one of the three gates that gives entrance to the small, but cosy town of Zierikzee, Zeeland, The Netherlands, as can be seen at this image . Image is taken at July 19th 2007. Hope you'll enjoy this image.

Great shot C. I like the stream very much with the green and the Gate. I'm trying to figure out what that small version of a castle is doing on water's edge. Be glad when it's that type of day again. Have a good day.

Like Tick, I was wondering what that is in the water. It looks like a model of a church. Beautiful greens in this and the angle of the creek look good too. Excellent shot, Cornelius.

Answer to Tick and Jim: it's a 'mansion' for duckies, lol. Serious now: ducks are using this 'shelter' for brooding purposes. The eggs are protected this way for robbing by, for instance, seagulls. It's a quite common use in Holland to use such houses. Watch for instance this image and you'll see at the left side of the boat a similar house for ducks.

I love the twin towers amidst this lovely setting. The ducks actually go into those houses? That is so thoughtful for the ducks.
