Every windmill in Holland has a name. This one is called 'Weltevreden' (Stands for 'Well-contented). Captured this image in the village of Domburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands.
Hope you'll enjoy this post.
it looks contented, it seems to have eyes with the white round the windows, but his mouth is sad! i never knew windmills had names there, this is a lovely shot of this one.

Everything about this picture I love. Windmills are fantastic subjects, and this one is surrounded by beauty. The sky streamers are great, the church is a plus and the bush really balances out the shot. My compliments, Cornelius.

You are neither taxed nor fined if you look at My Gallery.
gorgeous windmill. the detail is incredible. the sky is very dramatic. the blades of the windmill are very clear and their age shows. it's what it is and that's why i like it so much.........an element we all enjoy when we think of holland (oops, the netherlands).

Just great C. Nice to see a windmill again. Thanks for introducing us to "Weltevreden" What a nice name. I knew barns had names, but not windmills. Only makes sense they do. Great colors and clarity. I like the church in background. Excellent Post.
What makes this photo so good, IMHO, is that you also show the village church at the left side. Just like what it would be like during a nice walk. and the church is where we are headed for after the mill...
Very pleasant, high quality photograph Cornelus!
