Captured this image of the traditional windmill 'The Hope', Middelburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands, shining in a 'wint'ry sun' at December 7th, 2008. As you can see: no snow at all. Think 'I'm dreaming of a white Christmas' this year will stay for me a dream again as snow and ice have become a pretty rare phenomenon in this small part of the world.

Hope you'll enjoy this image. Thank you in advance for any comment.

Great shot through the birch C. I like your choice or vertical to display the windmill. It is a beautiful shot. Was there once much snow in your part of the world? Have a good week.

Good health to you and yours.

My Dear Mr C....:) I have never forgotten my time in The Netherlands....it was and am sure still is a most lovely little country. These windmills always remind me of the lighthouses here in Oregon. They way they are built, other than the blades itself. Tell ya what, we have a a foot of snow on the ground right now, I will be happy to ship some to you. I will post some of the photos soon, and maybe that will help your snow melancholy...(smiling)Are those ropes I see on the mill? I love the red branches in the foreground, that makes the mill and the Birch trees all the more beautiful. Lovely photo my friend, very lovely. Verena

What a great capture! The red growth in the foreground sets off the deep blue of the sky and that cunning little house next to the windmill must be a treat.
