Captured this ancient alley yesterday (February, 18th 2009) in the tiny town of Veere, Zeeland, The Netherlands. The steeple at the background is not a church-tower but the tower of the medieval (former) townhall. As you can see, Veere is still hibernating, while in the summertime it's crowded by tourists.

Hope you'll enjoy this image. Thank you in advance for any comment.

Very well composed, Cornelius. It looks beautiful with the cobble stoned path leading up to the town hall and that bit of green makes all the difference. Very nice post my friend!

Very beautiful capture with great composition! To me it shows the rustic mood of this lovely little town.
We have a tower like that in Halsteren too.

Wonderful composition and I love the textures of the walls and the street. Looks so peaceful now, but I can imagine how it must be in the summer. Wonderful post!

With those wooden shoes clicking, I do not imagine you could slip up on anything that had any hearing at all C. Great capture and I like how you lead the eye to the Town Hall. The natural textures are stunning.

Good health to you and yours.

Such a nice post, well composed, and very nice DOF. It's rather nice without the tourists distracting from this wonderful view.

I would like to be one of the tourists some day. Just a beautiful view of the alley. I like the colors, and the lighting. You sure don't see allies like that over here. Just a bunch of garbage cans sitting around. LOL.
