Normally she would have taken off at the sight of a photographer but it is a different story when she is hatching her eggs. Nice close-up, Cornelius.

Excellent capture of that duck. It looks as if it has no idea you are near. Good job, Mr. C.

Answer to Elizabeth's question: It's a coot (Fulicia Atra) and I know it has six eggs in its nest.

What a great capture C. So it's an "old coot" on the nest with its six shooter. Don't let Frogz turn his gator loose. How long will it be before the nest is hidden with the rushes?
Have a good weekend and Easter.
Good health to you and yours.

Love the sense of calm about this, the simplicity of the rushes lines and the palette contribute to that a lot I think.
