Is she bound for Kiel for the "Kieler Woche" perhaps? Beautiful capture Cornelius - wonderful clarity and DOF in this image.

Cornelius - Though still with sails furled, there is a majesty about a multi-masted sailboat such as this. Your trademark clarity and color are evident in this fine shot. Thad

Excellent clear details on The Astrid. I enjoy this perspective leaving the harbour. The surroundings seems to similar to what I see locally. Without such a grand vessel as this of course. Thank you for sharing it.

Wat een mooie foto Cornelius. De stralende blauwe lucht en het wiite schip. Een tweemaster als ik me niet vergis.. Jij voelt je thuis bij het water en dat voel je als je naar deze mooie foto kijkt. Klasse! Groetjes, Mich.

Did you ever sail any of these Sea? This is a great photo and all the colors really combine to make it beautiful. It makes me want to go aboard. It also gave me the excuse to listen to this song.
Good health to you and yours.

Wonderful image Cornelius. I love it when the tall ships come to Liverpool. Last time they came in 2008 over a million people watched the Parade of Sail as they left the river. I wonder if The Astrid was among them?

Wonderful shot and a beauty of a boat. That is what I miss about being here instead of my home town in Nova Scotia, where I could see them sailing into the harbour. I keep this and make believe it's real.
