As you might know, the biggest part of my country (the Netherlands or Holland) is lying below sea level. In order to prevent flooding from the sea, the coastline of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, was reinforced by creating new, artificial sanddunes at some places. This image shows such a part of the new coastline in the vicinity of the town of Flushing.

I've decided not to clone out the two people and their dog in the distance, because they make clear the proper dimensions of this 'artwork'

Hope you like this, recently taken, image. Thank you in advance for your comment.

A pretty face is fine but what a farmer needs is a woman that can carry a pig under each arm

Nice and interesting scene. If the sea level is behind the dunes on the left, the place where you've taken this shot must be very low.

A very clear shot from front to back. Side to side, Corner to corner, up and down. OK..I think that covers it. LOL. Excellent photography once again, Mr. C.

Goede keus Cornelius, de mensen maken de foto juist nog levendiger en geven ook de rust aan.. En de blauwe lucht is wel een hele fraaie! Groetjes Michel

I like the angle you chose Sea. It looks like spring but know it is November. The people just add to the scene.
Good health to you and yours.

Well composed and a lovely and most interesting landscape, Cornelius. I guess this road will eventually reach the sea.

The sand duunes are beautiful and a very good idea to keep the flooding out. I allso agree with keeping the people and the dog in. It does creat depth.

A very different view to me. It must be a strange feeling to walk there knowing that the see is higher then the land. I think you did the right thing leaving the couple and the dog in the scene, it gives it perspective.

A beautiful and well-composed landscape, Cornelius! Wonderful depth-of-field, an interesting foreground, and a dazzling blue sky. The couple out for a walk adds a nice human element to the scene, as well. Well done!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
