The Netherlands are pretty flat,You have to be admired for the way the sea's kept back..I drove through Holland on the way to Aachen many years ago,Also been to Amsterdam,Just for a few hours on the ferry from Newcastle..Nice picture Cornelius,Sharp and colourful...R.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . I can't imagine how you could take this photo any better. It looks like a good place to be come sunup or sundown which ever direction it is facing. The deep blue water and blue sky with a splattering of clouds makes a fine composition Sea. Good health to you and yours.
Nice colors. I like this because the water doesn't look that deep. I am assuming it is fresh water and not sea water if I understood what a polder is correctly. Lovely view from here.
You've captured a great sense of open space and the comp is great with the fringe of foreground grass enhancing the sense of distance to everything else in the shot and the wedge of water (Plus the slight angle of the grass.) ensuring the squareness of the horizon line does not dominate the image.
Excellent scenery here my friend
