It's a rather long time ago that I've provided you with a pure maritime image. So I went back there where my heart belongs.

I've taken a photograph of the pilot vessel 'Endeavour' (homeport: Rotterdam, the Netherlands) on its way to its working station in Flushing, Zeeland, the Netherlands, in order to bring some pilots ashore. These pilots are coming from seagoing vessels who have left the port of Antwerp, Belgium. The 'Endeavour' will have only a temporary rest because the seagoing vessels on their way to the port of Antwerp are obliged to have a pilot on board too, so a task for the 'Endeavour' or one of the other, in Flushing stationed pilot vessels, as well.

For me it was always a welcome sight to see the pilot boat approaching, especially after a rough crossing of the Atlantic. Here it is a welcome sight that brings back old memories. Nice shot Cornelius.
