This afternoon I went to a northern beach of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, the Netherlands, and captured this image. Because of the relative warm weather (15° C / 59° F) and the relative cold seaweater, it was a tad hazy there.

I hope anyhow that you'll enjoy this image. Thanks in advance for your comment.

Well composed and lovely shot Cornelius. The brown grass in front adds much to the beauty of this low tide image.

The grasses are beautiful, SEA.
It is amazing how much the shoreline can change in appearance during the course of a day.

I've heard that your part of world has Low tides ranging 6-10 feet, is that True?

Drastic Low Tides here range from 1-3 Feet and are only during the Winter when North winds blow the water out. 2 Feet max during some summer moons only.

thanks for sharing this excellent view of a low tide on a beautiful beach.

Like to answer the by E.J. (00Jethro) put forward question above.
Referring to THIS LINK, you'll see that a simple answer can't be given. In the DUTCH VERSION one can read: "Het getijverschil (verschil in waterhoogte van hoog- en laagwater) bedraagt bij Vlissingen gemiddeld ongeveer 382 cm. The translation into English reads: "The tidal range (difference in water level of high and low tide) has at Flushing, Zeeland, the Netherlands an average of about 382 centimeters = 12,53 feet."

The image was taken about 10 NM (Nautical Miles) north of Flushing.

I must say, as an agent, you get the most beautiful locations to do your surveillance work...that dense grass in the foreground makes for an excellent cover while on a stake out...AND adds great appeal and textures to the beauty of the beach scene...good work SEAS.

Beautiful in many ways...grasses, sand, water and sky. Also the composition and the clarity of the shot is first rate. Well done, Mr. C.
