Near the town of Goes, peninsula South-Beveland, Zeeland, The Netherlands, I've 'discovered' a lot of ornamental garden sculptures in a yard of, which once seems to have been, a small farm. They are for sale. I asked the (female) 'chief in charge' permission for taking some captures, and after I had explained to her that my goal was to upload one or more captures to Caedes as an item for 'Manic Monday', she said that this wasn't a problem, and showed interest in the pictures that I had taken.

Seems that the Danish dog was impressed by the near presence of these huge lions. He even didn't bark (lol). Even the lions didn't produce their usual mighty roaring sound.

As I already said above, this one is for Manic Monday

PS: after checking-out the above link, you'll see that the information is only available in the Dutch language.

I think the dog would rather be a lion! He would make a good pet with no barking or "clean-up". An original image and perfect for MM.
It is wonderful to have you back posting, Cornelius. I hope that your health has improved and that you are feeling better.

It looks as though the dog is the counsellor and the two lion warriors are considering his proposal :) Fine capture for this Monday Cornelius.

Welcome back Mr. C. and I hope all is good for you. I see the lions as being in a feline conversation about the odd ball behind them. Lol! Good one for MM. tigs=^..^=

Looks like the lions are discussing whether to let the dog into the conversation. A great capture Cornelius and good to see you back :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The dog looks a little perplexed....I imagine it is because he doesn't speak Lionese...and has no idea if the lions are talking about him or not. Outstanding shot for MM, Mr. C. Welcome back, and I hope you are feeling much better.

I love the expression on the dog's face Mr. C. The placement is wonderful with him looking at the lion. A great shot for Manic Monday.

These are beautiful sculptures from an art perspective Mr. C. especially the lions. There is wonderful depth in the sculpting and you've captured the textures perfectly of course. Welcome back - I hope you are feeling better.

Very cute image for MM Cornelius - the dog looks like he would like to hang out with the lions - but not possible - as the the lions are taking their share of your shot lol. Simply an adorable capture and very happy to see you back at Caedes!!!

Being in a hurry, I forgot that nothing has been said above about the image itself. :)
MM is one thing and the eye-to-eye communication between the lions is another. This image could even do well in the present contest - perhaps with more emphasis on the ophthalmologic aspects.. LOL

What a great composition! Those statues would look nice in a large yard of garden. Glad to have to have you back as well, you were missed.

The dog is left out in the cold by the disapproving frowns of the lions. A great capture for MM (which I missed). Glad you are well enough to post.
