This traditional Dutch windmill was open for visitors/tourists. You can see that many people have used this opportunity to watch this 'classical beauty' from inside and outside. Apparently they had no eye for the surrounding fields with tulips in full bloom. Think it's a matter of 'taste', lol.

One for Manic Monday

They (People) would have had a great view from the windmill viewpoint for the Tulips.....a busy place so this windmill must be very popular!

Good piece of a historic scene!..

In summer the mill will turn gently to create a gentle cool breeze for the visitors :) Very nice capture of the mill and the visitors Cornelius.

I visited several windmills when on holiday in your country. Unfortunate for me, it was not tulip season. What amazed me was that each windmill had its own unique design. Your capture of tourists highlights how popular windmills are as sightseeing attractions. Well done, Cornelius.

I would head for the tulips and shoot towards the windmill from amongst the tulips but then I would want to tour the windmill! A very unique and interesting capture Mr. C.

Nice shot of the crowds at the windmill Mr. C. I would love to tour a windmill also. I really like the way the bricks are laid out for the walking area.

I can see where the windmill would get more attention as it is an iconic structure and let's hope that the tourists on the deck are getting a nice overhead view of the tulips and taking a lot of pictures - great capture Cornelius - I also love the paved walkway and design!!!

Gorgeous capture of this windmill that stands inside Keukenhof.
Payed a visit to this location in 2009 when the
tulips on the fields around were fully blooming.
