I took this capture two days ago in the sand dunes of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands. It was hazy, therefore I've chosen for B&W for the best achievable result.

It's my weekly entry for the Wednesday B&W challenge.

Not only the ship but also the foreground looks nice in b/w Cornelius.

Smooth seas do not make skilful sailors.

With the exception of the containers on deck, it could be an image from another era.

Looks good 'Cp'tain'!...

The b&w is easy on the eye and the image well 'framed' through the branches

Perfectly composed and framed Cornelius and another splendid submission for the BWC, thank you.

I will have to com back later to view full screen - my internet has annoyingly decided to 'go slow' just now :(

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I really like your use of the foreground branches for framing this vessel, Cornelius. Well done.

It looks like someone is standing on the shore longing to be headed out to sea,SEA. Wait a minute, that's exactly what it is!
Good one mate.

I live the natural framing of the branches on this Mr. C. - it's like looking through a porthole to the ship - excellent!

I like the contrast between the smooth sky and sea and the dune vegetation . Fine photo Cornelius.

In colour the picture might cause freeze-up on my computer - the bare branches and cold glare of the sea surface ! gggrrrr
I protest against this cold Easter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday I wore thicker socks in bed ...
Boris does not want to come to my bed to keep me warm on the pretext that he is not comfortable as I grew fat and take too much place ....
If the worst comes to worst, I will sue Raj and with the money I win off him, I will move to ... yes, where ..? Maybe Cyprus...

Most pleasing simplicity and symmetry here, dearest SEAS.
Hugs from me & kisses from Boris who prefers to kiss strangers...
