The color is unique. If they were red, I would recall a scene from the classic Wizard Of Oz. Beautifully captured, Cornelius.

First of all, Cornelius, this shot is perfect. I downloaded it and checked it out at various zooms for flaws and found nothing but perfection. I then faved it and hit the button that says "Art Council" at which point Caedes gave me an "Internal Error" message. I have no idea how to override that or who to contact. This image belongs in the permanent galleries. I have no idea if the nomination was accepted or not.

It looks like you got down on one knee to shoot this to include as many poppies as possible. Nearly every landscape I see has the horizon splitting the image which drives me nuts. Your horizon is perfect. I'm not sure what treatment you used on the image which almost has a silky watercolor quality. Excellent background, wonderful border and a lovely sky.

I love the bright color of the field and sky, the lighting and contrast...and the general cheerfulness that makes a person think all is well in the world!
