The landed estates around castle 'Ter Hooge' are covered now with dandelions (image was taken on April 9th, 2017).

'Ter Hooge' is the name for a castle and landed estates around this castle and is situated west of Middelburg at the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands. The first castle 'Ter Hooge' was built approximately 1300. Nowadays only one tower of the 'old' castle remains. The 'new' (please notice the quotes, ☺) castle was built in 1754 - 1759 and is owned now by one family.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Wonderful spring image. The yellow and green go so well together. Also the castle and the trees add much to the beauty of this scene.

I hope the 'new' castle lasts !

Dandelions - thought of as weeds, however are a wonderful addition to this lovely view of Ter Hooge

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I agree with Lyn, the dandelions really add a nice element to this one Mr. C. Beautiful imagery, I like the layered look I see from front to back. tigs=^..^=

I'm delighted to note that this is the first shot you've posted that seems to have a flaw. There is a small spot in the sky above and to the right of the left steeple. Other than that, the shot is bursting with colors and all things spring and wealthy.

Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
