Variety is the spice of life, so I'm changing from tulip fields into the salty environment.
This time an addition of my pilot-series: the Dutch pilot tender 'Lynx' in action off the coast of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands.
PS: referring to the title: the Closest Point of Approach (CPA) is the closest distance that two vessels can come to each other (to avoid a collision, ☺ ) calculated based on their current course and speed.

The boat is cutting through some rolling waters with a lot of power, creating quite a wake in its path. This kind of action shot, to me, captures a kind of excitement.

I'm hoping you were using a telephoto lens and that you weren't in a row boat. If you were kayaking when you shot this, I hope your camera is waterproof.

Those are some of the roughest sea's on the planet he/she is navigating through. Good capture!
