This is another capture taken in the sand dunes along the coast of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

It shows a section where the beach has disappeared through the current and waves (in particular during the Fall season). Because we (Zeeland people) live below sea level, the dunes protect us from the sea.

To prevent the dunes from further calving, they are reinforced with basalt blocks at their feet. Not a nice view, but a necessity.

I like your composition, and I find it very interesting how they have made such a good effort to protect the dunes from further erosion. It also makes a good walking path for the visitors. Very good lines in this shot my friend. tigs=^..^=

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

A lovely and colorful view of the sand dunes in this well composed shot Cornelius. We too have problem of erosion especially on the island of Sylt.
