This time not a maritime capture taken at sea, but one taken on top of a sand dune along the west coast of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands, with an almost deserted beach now.

Depicted is the Ro-Ro (Roll on - Roll off) cargo ship 'Ficaria Seaways' on her way to Gothenburg.

The 'Ficaria Seaways' belongs to the Danish DFDS Seaways Company, a company that operates passenger and freight services across northern Europe.

The 'Ficaria Seaways' has IMO (International Maritime Organization) number 9320568. Her GT (Gross Tonnage) is 32,289 and her DWT (Dead Weight Tonnage) is 15,990. She was built in 2006, has a Length Over All (LOA) of 229.8 m. Her beam is 26.95 m.

Sometimes (rather rarely) when I see such photos as this one, a feeling of nostalgia comes up because this is a route that I have passed so many times. Beautiful photo Cornelius.

That's a lovely view, Cornelius. Things aren't like they used to be but you are still doing good things.

I really like the very wide angle on this shot Mr. C. - there is a feeling of desolation with the lone ship in the distance.
