This traditional windmill is located in the village of Grijpskerke, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

It's called 'Het Welvaaren van Grijpskerke' (The Prosperity of Grijpskerke) and was built in 1801 after its predecessor was blown over by a very heavy storm. Due to the attached house, this mill can only be turned in a limited direction. The mill is no longer capable of grinding grain as well, so the title is in fact a bit misleading, 😁 .

From the decorative colours one can already guess that this mill is not a working mill. Beautiful capture with nice colours Cornelius.

Even is it is not still a working mill, it is a wonderful example of our historic past and with those solar panels, an excellent example of our future too.

It looks great even if it isn't operational. Fascinating color choices. Makes me think of Lego building blocks. Good one, Cornelius!
