This capture, taken on July 15th, 2023 shows Delfshaven, a historical borough of Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

From the harbor of Delfshaven the Pilgrim fathers left Delfshaven on August 1st, 1620 with the Speedwell.

A shame the Speedwell was forced to turn around. From, from 1991 to 2014, Ohio, had a replica of the Santa Maria docked on the river in downtown Columbus.

Christopher Columbus and his three ships sailed on 1492, a good bit earlier than the voyage attempt by the Speedwell.

I swear, C., from perusing all these Netherlander waterway photos of yours, if I lived there I would either live on a boat or most of my time in a kayak (ki ak, Inuit tribe).
