This picture was taken on the market square in Bruges, Belgium. It shows the medieval Belfry of Bruges. It was built about 1240, but it was struck by several devastating fires. Every time it was (partly) destroyed, a reconstruction got place, It got its final shape in 1822.

It has been through a lot, but comes to become this beautiful structure. The folks setting there have a wonderful view as is your photo.
