Yet another from the 2004 Acores Series. This is also on the island of Pico, up on the plateau. (Taken with a Minolta Maxxum 4000si)

I love the color. Green plants are always a winner in my mind. The balance is good with the lower elevation in front, transitioning to higher elevation in back. I can't tell if it is my eyes, but the image looks a little out of focus on the right side?? Otherwise, excellent picture.

Little, grassy Stonehenge columns with lumpy roofs and ridges. The texture translates so nicely; it is as unique as the terrain itself. Good stuff!

It looks like a Chia Pet! Nature never fails to amaze. I don't know what was around, but I think I'd prefer the shot a little higher, looking across the landscape.

If I remember correctly, the terrain continued upwards behind that formation. If the shot were any wider, the detail would be lost. I will hopefully be there again this September so I'll try and capture a new image if there's another angle I missed.
